Hear from Chris Sartori, head brewer at Coronado Brewing Company (annual production: ~45,000 BBL) in San Diego, who has seen significant gains in operational efficiency since adopting Berkeley Yeast’s FRESH™ strains. The yeast's robust diacetyl reduction has eliminated the need for ALDC additions and routine VDK analysis, streamlining fermentation and reducing production costs. These efficiencies have allowed the team to reallocate resources toward product development, including the World Beer Cup 2024 Gold Medal-winning “Nado,” a Japanese Rice Lager brewed with Fresh Andechs lager yeast. Furthermore, in 2024 Brewbound named Coronado Craft Brewery of the Year.
